3/4 cup greek yogurt
1/4 cup shredded cucumber
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 Tablespoons water
8 Berks All Beef Franks or Grill Franks
4 large pita breads, cut in half
2 romaine hearts sliced, about 4 cups
1 medium tomato chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
1 small white onion chopped
1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
In a small bowl combine the yogurt with the cucumber, salt, lemon zest and water. Mix well, set aside.
Heat a griddle, non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat or prepare an outdoor grill. Cook the franks until they are cooked through and slightly charred on the outside, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes. Cut each frank into 8 slices, or if you prefer you can leave them whole.
Fill each pita half with some lettuce and a drizzle of the yogurt sauce. Put 8 pieces of hot dog in each pita half. Drizzle with some more yogurt sauce and sprinkle with the chopped tomato, onion and feta cheese.
