Try this for an All-American Great Taste!
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1/2 large yellow onion, sliced
1/2 large red bell pepper, sliced
1/2 large green bell pepper, sliced
2 Tablespoons ketchup
2 Tablespoons water
1/4 pound store bought sliced roast beef, cut into bite sized pieces
4 Berks All Beef Franks or Grill Franks
4 hot dog buns
4 slices white or yellow American cheese, broken into pieces
2 Tablespoons milk
Heat an indoor or outdoor grill over medium-high heat.
Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, and peppers and cook until softened, 10 minutes. Add the ketchup, water and roast beef, cook until heated through 1-2 minutes. Set aside and cover with foil to keep warm.
Place the franks on the grill turning often, 8-10 minutes until the franks are slightly charred and cooked through. Put the franks in the buns. Divide the reserved pepper/roast beef mixture over the franks.
Put the American cheese and milk in a small glass bowl, and microwave on high for 40 seconds, until the cheese has melted. Stir the cheese sauce until it is completely smooth. Pour the sauce over the franks. Serve warm.
